Orphanage Enhancement
Joy Valley Orphanage
KEAJ has supported Joy Valley and its Schools for several years. KEADW purchased building supplies and equipment that were used to enhance the orphanage. Including, but not limited to rebuilding walls; installing a water tank and windows; roofing and refinishing floors and purchasing plumbing materials to reconstruct/remodel bathrooms. KEADW also purchased new mattresses, bedding and bed frames.
The children now reside in improved facilities and have access to clean water. In 2016, KEADW funded a farm (250 chicken, 30 pigs & 13 ducks) for Joy Valley. This project was designed to provide on-going income for the orphanage. In November and December 2016, funding was allocated for Thanksgiving and Christmas meals; as well as toys for the orphans.

Shadow Mountain Children’s Home
In August 2016,KEADW began to provide support to Shadow Mountain in Nairobi, Kenya. There are more than 75 children who are associated with this orphanage. In addition to providing financial support, members of our United States KEADW team personally delivered over 200 pairs of shoes and clothing to this facility. Thanksgiving and Christmas meals, and gifts were also provided to the children.
Medical Assistance
In the summer of 2015 & 2016, KEADW hosted a Medical Camp Day. Medication and supplies were purchased for over 500 children and adults. In addition, over 2,200 eyeglasses were donated and distributed to families after eye examinations.
Medical Clinic News Updates
In 2016, KEADW donated the property and constructed the first Church of God In Christ Medical Facility in Bondo, Kenya. The Bondo Clinic was built to provide health care for children and area residents with non-acute illnesses. Medical needs of residents in this area will be managed by a local team of doctors and nurses. The clinic has multiple exam rooms, lab & specimen testing areas, a large family waiting area, facility restrooms and a garage for ambulance vehicles. Medications, supplies, computers and software for patient recordkeeping were set up in August 2016. During this visit, a “Groundbreaking” Celebration was attended by Bishop Jerry Ivery, Supervisor Daniels-Carter and a team of women who traveled from the United States.
Maria Clinic
In August 2016, the KEADW united in partnership with Dr. Florence Kiboi to assist with acute medical needs. The Maria Clinic has two locations in Nairobi. KEADW will provide support to both clinics. In order to provide upgraded services for patients, medical and computer equipment was shipped to the medical facilities in April 2017
