Supervisor Valerie Daniels-Carter
Supervisor Valerie Daniels-Carter is a Godly Woman who, by anyone’s standards, reflects all that is successful and accomplished in the arena of private sector business in America. She is President and CEO of V& J Holding Companies, Inc., the Country’s largest African American female-owned restaurant franchisee.
Supervisor Valerie Daniels-Carter built a quick-serve restaurant empire over the last two decades that span Burger King, Pizza Hut, Auntie Anne’s Soft Pretzels, Coffee Beanery, Nino’s Southern Sides, and My Yo My Frozen Yogurt brands. As Owner, Founder, President, and CEO, she has grown V& J Foods from one restaurant to V& J Holding Companies, a national multi-branded company that serves people at 137 locations across six states.
Supervisor Valerie Daniels-Carter, who has been recognized by Essence magazine as one of the 50 most inspiring African-Americans in the U.S., also lends her philanthropic spirit to many causes, several of which are: hosted several health and wellness days in small African villages. She initiated with the Minority Franchise Association to build a state-of-the-art wing for an orphanage in Kenya, Africa, at Jubilee Orphanage Center. Created the Empowerment Initiative For Africa, Inc., where she acquired 20 acres of land in Accra, Ghana. Built three educational facilities and drilled water well in Kenya for the surrounding community of 20,000 families. Today over 150 orphans are clothed, eating healthy diets, and learning quality education in a friendly and conducive environment.
In the United States, she, along with the rest of her family, has built and developed a state-of-the-art complex that has their church, Holy Redeemer Institutional Church Of God In Christ, a Boys and Girls Club, a Family service center, two schools, loan center, and community meeting facilities “better known as” the Mother Kathryn Daniels Youth Center, developed in memory of her mother and husband. Supervisor Valerie Daniels-Carter serves on numerous boards and committees; in 2017, she was appointed the first African American female AAA Chair of the Board of Directors, an organization she’s been a part of for over 20 years. She is also the minority owner of the Milwaukee Bucks and on the board of directors of the Green Bay Packers, the national boards of the Church of God in Christ financial department, and the music department. She has been conducting choirs and training musicians for over 30 years, worked with gospel music artists, locally and nationally. No matter what the demands of business are during the week, more often than not, she is found serving the church as Minister of Music on Sunday mornings.
Apart from being a successful business owner Supervisor Valerie Daniels-Carter is a motivational speaker, a generous Humanitarian, and a flourishing author. Her entrepreneurial aptitude inspired her to author “Your Business Is His Business” and “Anointed Offering or Tainted Sacrifice.” Supervisor Valerie Daniels-Carter attributes her success to her relationship with God, her family, committed employees, and true friends. She is a national exemplar, but more importantly, she is a touchable woman.
